23-25 August. It finally stopped raining, a great relief!
In sunshine we went through Aberystwyth, Aberdovey, Borth and Machynlleth. We paid 70p and crossed the quaint toll bridge at Dolgellan and on to Barmouth. Then Harlech, Porthmadog and stayed the night at Llanystumdwy.
On Wednesday had a day off from driving and did a lovely woodland walk including visiting the tomb of Lloyd George.
Today we have been on the move again, Criccieth, Pwllheli, Abersoch, and took a very steep and windy road to Uwch Mynydd, providing great views to Bardsey Island which is a nature reserve and not accessible.
Tonight we are camping at a farm at Groeslon not far from Caernarfon. Tomorrow we will head to Anglesey.
